Black.

Ringneck Rump or tail fibers.

Can be almost anything, peacock, ringneck tail fibers, wool, floss, etc.
HACKLE:
Same as tail, but tied full and long.
HEAD:
Finish with Black thread.
PRESENTATION:

Move the fly with medium to long sized jerks of the line (18"). Excellent all around wet fly. Used year round.

TYING TIPS:

Attach the rump or tail fibers straight out at the back of the hook (in line with the shank). Tie in the wire next, but leave it hang out the back until the body is wrapped. Wrap the body narrower at the back of the hook, and progressively getting thicker towards the head. Tie it off when your just past the 3/4 mark of the shank. Wrap the wire forward in the opposite direction that the body was wrapped and tie it off. Tie in your hackle or your pheasant tail fibers, tie off and finish with a thread head. Cement.
