Move the fly slowly with quick, yet small jerks of the line. Very effective in slack waters of spring creeks, sloughs and ponds. Work the fly along the bottom with slow, short jerks and letting it drift down to the fish. Excellent all around wet fly. Used year round.
TYING TIPS:Attach the red yarn between the two goose biots at the tail, then attach the wire and the peacock herl. Wrap the four strands of peacock herl forward a little better than 3/4 the length of the hook, tie off. Then wrap the wire forward over the peacock herl (Reverse Wrap), tie off. Add two more goose biots on either side and slightly on top of the hook, tie in. And finally finish off with a some black head, using thread.
